Our story

Hi, I’m the face behind Sort & Shine. 

Sort & Shine started from something very personal to me.

Since becoming a mum, I’ve experienced first-hand how overwhelming life can feel when you’re trying to juggle everything at once. Living with ADHD has also meant that managing my mental load, keeping on top of everything and knowing where to start can sometimes feel like a huge task.

But I’ve always found something incredibly calming about sorting, organising and creating order from chaos.

For me, organising isn’t just about making a room look tidy. It gives me a sense of calm. It gives my brain somewhere to focus. It’s something I genuinely enjoy and it has become a little escape for me while navigating postpartum life, motherhood and ADHD.

That’s where Sort & Shine was born.

I wanted to create a business that combines something I truly love with something that can genuinely make a difference to other people’s lives.

Because sometimes you don't need another person telling you to "just tidy up". You need someone to come in, take away the overwhelm and help you work through it without judgement.

Whether your wardrobe has got completely out of control, your kitchen cupboards are overflowing, your children's toys seem to have taken over the house, or you simply don't know where to start, we are here to help.

There is absolutely no judgement here. Life happens. Kids happen. Work happens. Mental load happens. Sometimes things just get on top of us and that's okay. 

I’ve worked in the cleaning industry for over 10 years, alongside a varied career as a makeup artist, dance teacher, performer and working in a children’s home. Each of these experiences has taught me something different about people, homes and the importance of feeling comfortable in your own space.

I understand that life can get busy, overwhelming and sometimes just a little chaotic and there’s absolutely no judgement here. Whether you need a fresh start, a helping hand or simply more organisation in your home, Sort & Shine is here to make life feel that little bit easier. ✨
